Our online world is an additive to the lives we live in person with our friends and family. There are not many studies done on the dysphoria caused there though, especially dating apps. With this study, She/He/They hopes to bring insight into those figures as we research how dysphoria evolves online on dating apps like Bumble, Tinder, and OkCupid.
With this data, we will be able to work with these companies to create policies that are more inclusive and provides opportunities for all transgender individuals to use without discrimination and the added stress of dysphoria.
Q: How man participants do you expect to study?
A: We are hoping to end the study at 5,000 participants. This may be more though as if demand calls for it we will allow those to participate as they want.
Q: When will you know the results?
A: This all depends on when we can collect enough data to analyze it. We will not publish results unless there is a minimum of 5,000 participants that have answered the study fully. This can take months and then an additional few months to build figures for the study.
Q: If I want to participate how can I?
A: If you would like to participate please head over to our studies page for more information.
If you would like to read more onto this study you can follow our study blogs with updates from researchers.
